Write: Uzbekistan Child Labour campaign - Gymboree, Abercrombie and Fred's:
Every year, the government of Uzbekistan forces thousands of children and teachers out of the classrooms and into the fields to harvest cotton. Even now, with more than 25 major brands having made a commitment to stop sourcing their cotton from Uzbekistan, some of the worst forms of forced child labor continue to be used in the harvesting of cotton for clothing sold by major brands and retailers in the U.S. Abercrombie & Fitch, Fred's, and Gymboree have yet to make any formal commitment to eradicating the use of child labor in their cotton supply chain.
